Decima Aurea is a pure Merlot, obtained from the selection of three clones grown at high density and low yield. A percentage of the grapes is left to dry in the drying room for about a month, while the remaining grapes are harvested during the over ripening phase in October. The wine is aged for 14 months in small French oak barrels.
