Tenuta Santa Maria at Amarone Opera Prima: introducing our new Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2021
The winery takes part in Amarone Opera Prima 2026, the official presentation event to discover the style and potential of the new Amarone vintages.
Tenuta Santa Maria renews its presence at Amarone Opera Prima, the most important event dedicated to Amarone della Valpolicella, now in its twenty-second edition. Organised by Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella and open to wine professionals and enthusiasts, the event will exceptionally take place at the Gallerie Mercatali of Veronafiere (Verona) on January 31st, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and on February 1st, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This will be a unique opportunity to meet the Tenuta Santa Maria team and taste, in preview, our Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG 2021, currently ageing in oak barrels and set to be released on the market from 2027, alongside the 2019 vintage, currently available.
Tenuta Santa Maria’s Amarones are distinguished by their blend, predominantly Corvina, from the estate’s exclusive clone. This viticultural heritage is fully expressed through the use of sustainable agronomic practices and the historic technique of traditional drying on the arele, protecting the grapes natural balance and the wine’s identity.
Amarone Opera Prima is the official event marking the presentation of the new Amarone della Valpolicella vintage, an essential appointment that celebrates the market debut of one of Italy’s most iconic wines. Organized by the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella, the event brings together producers, international trade professionals and specialized press, offering an authoritative first insight into the style and potential of the vintage.
