Imagine strolling through the hills of Verona, where marl soils, rich in limestone and clay, shape the landscape and influence the identity of iconic local wines like Amarone, Valpolicella and Soave. These soils promote a perfect balance between structure, aromas, and complexity. At Tenuta Santa Maria di Gaetano Bertani, we take great care of our vineyards in Arbizzano, Grezzana and Colognola ai Colli, trying to make the most of the essence of our terroir.
Iconic images and thoughts will be evoked yet again this year, centred around the elegant and refined eighteenth-century spaces that characterise our historic winery. The gardens of the estate will form the backdrop with its magical spaces where myths, stars and symbols of the past will become the real protagonists of our evenings. Following the great success of the last edition of ‘Festival della Bellezza’, the well established philosopher and essayist is returning to our historical winery to share with his public some of his thoughts in regards to the ethics of the the modern man.
The vinification of the must for the production of Amarone and Recioto does not immediately follow the harvest. It is the result of a much slower and more elaborate process.
